THE SACRAMENT OF CONFIRMATION 2010
Confirmation is the wonderful sacrament by which we take on our mission as Christians. Strengthened by the Holy Spirit through a special anointing, and marked with the sign of Christ, we receive the gifts to live out our Baptism as priests, prophets and kings to the world.
In particular these gifts are:
1. wisdom 2. understanding 3. right judgement (counsel) 4. courage (might/fortitude) 5. knowledge 6. reverence (awe) 7. fear of the Lord
(CCC #1303; Isaiah 11:1-3)

We would like all parents and candidates to know ahead of time that there will be four (4) one-hour mandatory classes, (one per month) which will prepare your child to receive the sacrament, plus there will be a day-long retreat to be held during school hours at the parish hall. The sacrament of Confirmation will be celebrated on the evening of your child’s retreat in order to stream line these events for the benefit of parents and home life.
